After spending over four decades practicing law in New York City, he semi- retired in 2005 from a busy practice and began sculpting. His practice had concentrated in family law-divorce, child custody and paternity all of which deal with conflicted personal interactions. His sculptures draw inspiration from the raw emotions revealed by his clients dealing with their conflicts and fashioning with hope, their new life for the future.
He is a cum laude graduate of The City College of New York and of New York University School of Law. In his career he has been an Assistant United States Attorney and an acting Village Judge. In addition to his private practice, he is a published author ("Loving and Leaving - Winning at the Business of Divorce")and has appeared as a guest commentator on radio and television. He has lectured before many legal and mental health professional organizations. He is biographied in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Law. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
In 2005 he began the study of sculpture with David Boyajian a master sculpture in New Fairfield, Conn. He is currently a pupil of Rollie Grandbois a noted master sculptor in Jemez Springs, N.M. He attended the Southwest Stone Carving Workshop in Jemez Springs, New Mexico in 2006. He is a member of the New Mexico Sculptors Guild and also of Art Jemez.
