Jim Forcier-Call has experimented with a great variety of art media over many years.  He has had a one-person month long Art Show at Jemez Views Art Gallery where he exhibited some twenty sculptures combining desert driftwood and clay.

He then created a series of boat sculpturesParallel Journeys - using gourds, clay and found objects representing Thomas Merton’s Spiritual Journey paralleled with the Celtic Spirit Quest.  This Exhibit –was displayed at the Center for Creative Spirituality in Littleton, Colorado; at Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Benedictine Retreat Center in Pecos, New Mexico; at the Dominican Retreat Center in Albuquerque, NM , and at the Servants of the Paraclete Chapel in Jemez Springs, NM.

At present, he is enjoying making creative mixed media Wall Shrines and Hanging Altered Books. Some of his works have been displayed at the Laughing Lizard, at the Jemez Trading Post and at Shangri-La West.  He has also constructed The Jemez Springs Library Sun Clock – an interactive installation in the Village Park whereby the shadow cast by the person standing on the calendar stone marks the correct clock time.
